Presenting Rising West. Queensryche w/out Geoff Tate. The new frontman is Crimson Glory’s Todd laTorre. And he has been hitting ALL those incredible notes, yes…

This happened :’)

My phone is a piece of shit though, but who the hell in their right mind brings a camera to the pit

1990. Empire

is the fourth full-length album by Queensrÿche, released in 1990. The album reached triple-platinum status and the single extracted, the power ballad “Silent Lucidity”, reached No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.  ”Silent Lucidity” was also nominated for the Grammy Awards of 1992 in the categories Best Rock Song and Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

The release of Empire brought Queensrÿche to the height of their commercial popularity. It peaked at No. 7 and sold more than three million copies in the United States, more than their previous four releases combined (it was also certified silver in the UK). The power ballad “Silent Lucidity”, which featured an orchestra, became the band’s first Top 10 single. While the band retained its socially conscious lyrics (touching on topics such as gun control and the environment), the arrangements on Empire were more straightforward than the band’s previous efforts.
